Our ProgramsThe targeted population of APRODEHNI's work is constituted by communities that live in a state of poverty and social marginalization, drawn away from the opportunities of development, and lack the most basic services. We focus our efforts principally towards children and youth through direct work with them and with the support of their families. The population we work with belongs mainly to rural areas whose primary economic activities are agriculture, fishing, and the extraction of mollusks. Our work focuses on three provinces in El Salvador: La Paz, Sonsonate, and San Salvador. In La Paz, efforts are focused in four towns: San Luis la Herradura, Santa María Ostuma, Santiago Nonualco, and San Pedro Masahuat. In Sonsonate we cover to two towns in the northern part of the province: Apopa and Nejapa.
